To make homemade pesto sauce, start by adding all the ingredients mentioned below for making pesto sauce into a blender jar

Blend ingredients to desired consistency. It yields up to 2.5 cups, store for later use

Boil 5 cups of salted water in a wide pot, adding oil as desired. Cook preferred pasta type (angel hair, spaghetti, rotini, linguine) in the boiling water

Cook the pasta until it is tender, as per the instructions on the package, and reserve some pasta water for later use

Mix cooked pasta with 5 tbsp of pesto sauce and 1/4 cup of pasta water in a large mixing bowl. Adjust consistency with additional sauce or pasta water as needed
