Rinse the Jasmine rice in water 2 to 3 times or until the water runs clear. And reserve it for later use
Now in a medium saucepan or pot, add 2¼ cups of water and bring it to a boil (Here I have used a 1:1½ cups of rice to water ratio to achieve soft and fluffy rice.
Once the water comes to a boil, add the rinsed jasmine rice and give it a good spread using a spoon or spatula
Let the rice boil until the center and sides of the rice bubble and creates a foamy texture. Please refer to the image above
Now reduce the heat to low and close the pan with its lid and cook for about 15 minutes or until all the water absorbed
Switch off the heat and allow it to rest for 5 to 10 minutes. Now open the lid and fluff the rice with a fork. Now the fluffy rice is ready for you to serve
