    Tofu Golden Nuggets Recipe

    Tofu is also called bean curd is low in carbohydrate and rich in protein originated from China and widely used in Asian continents. This dish is made of Tofu along with different spices and other seasonings which makes it super delicious. This dish is soft and crispy, healthy, and utterly delicious. Tofu golden nuggets can be a great alternative for meat nuggets with the same flavors and taste and can be served as appetizer for lunch and dinner.

    Ingredients
     
     

    • 0.88 lb Tofu, firm
    • 1 tsp Chili powder
    • 1 tsp Garlic powder
    • 1 tsp Ginger powder
    • 1 tsp Soy sauce
    • 1 tsp Cornstarch
    • 2 tsp All-purpose flour
    • ½ cup Buttermilk
    • Salt, as needed
    • Oil, for frying
    • ¼ cup Water
    • 1 cup Bread crumbs
    • 1 tsp Chili powder
    • 1 tsp Ginger powder
    • 1 tsp Garlic powder
    • ½ tsp Pepper powder
    • 1 tsp Baking soda
    • Salt, 2 pinch
    • Ketchup
    • Mayo

    Instructions
     

    To Prepare Tofu

    • Drain the tofu and wrap it in a clean paper towel, let all the water from the tofu to drain out
    • Tear the tofu into bite-size pieces

    To Marinate

    • To make the thick marinade, add corn starch, all-purpose flour, soy sauce, salt, chili, ginger, garlic powder, and water in a bowl
    • Coat the marinade thoroughly on tofu pieces and set aside for 15 to 20 minutes
    • In another bowl, mix bread crumbs with chili, ginger, garlic, pepper powder, baking soda, and salt
    • Take buttermilk in a separate cup and all-purpose flour for dusting in another cup
    • Now coat the marinated tofu in all-purpose flour, then dip it in buttermilk and then coat it with breadcrumb mixture

    To Fry the Tofu Golden Nuggets

    • In a deep bottom pan, add oil and deep fry the tofu pieces in the medium heat until it becomes golden brown
    • Remove the tofu pieces from the pan and drain it

    Serve

    • Serve the nuggets warm with ketchup, mayo, or chili sauce
