Ingredients
The ingredients you will need to make this Lemon Chicken are basic pantry elements that should be easily available in most grocery stores around. So let's see what are they below.
For Flour Coating
Following are the ingredients for flour coating the chicken breast.
- Flours - All-purpose flour and cornstarch to coat the chicken breast
- Seasoning Powders - Basic seasoning powders like onion and garlic powder, black pepper powder, and chili flakes
For Sauce and Lemon Chicken
Following are the ingredients for the sauce and Lemon Chicken.
- Chicken Breast - I have used skinless and boneless chicken breast that is already thinly sliced. But if you prefer to buy whole chicken breast then I recommend pounding for evenness. You can also slice them in half
- Onion and Garlic - Adding these aromatics gives a sweet and garlicky flavor to the sauce
- Butter and Oil - I have used olive oil here and butter for the rich and buttery taste. You can use salted or unsalted butter but keep an eye on salt if you are using salted ones
- Chicken Bouillon or broth - Adds so much flavor to your sauce
- Lemon Juice - Apart from juice, you can also lemon slices or lemon zest for extra lemon and citrusy flavor to your dish
- Seasonings - Chili flakes, black pepper powder, and dried Italian herbs for some heat and fresh flavor
