Tips
- For the best flavor and taste - The honey garlic sauce and the basic seasoning used for the salmon give the best taste and flavor to this dish
- Salmon - Always make sure to get fresh salmon which delivers juicy and fresh flavors to your dish. You can use either wild-caught or farm-raised salmon that's handy for you
- Skin-on or Skinless - I have used skin-on salmon fillets which deliver crispy skin that also help to flip off the fillet easily. But skin-less salmon fillets can be also used to achieve similar results
- Temperature - For pan-searing, always make sure to keep the heat medium and place the fillets once the oil reaches moderate heat. This helps the fillets to cook evenly without sticking to the bottom
- Non-stick or cast iron - Good brand non-stick or well-seasoned cast-iron pan can be used to make perfectly glazed salmon
- Cooking Salmon - Do not overcook the salmon which may turn hard and dry. And I would suggest cooking the fillets for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit
- Honey Garlic Sauce - Even though I have glazed the pan-seared salmon with honey garlic sauce, you can also marinate the fresh salmon with sauce and bake it in the oven
Variations
- Spicy and Savory Sauces - You can also use chili sauce, soy sauce, or hoisin sauce to make a spicy and savory taste and flavor
- Bake it in the oven - Make honey garlic sauce and coat the seasoned salmon with the sauce and bake it in the preheated oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for upto10 to 15 minutes. You can also broil the salmon for the final 2 minutes to achieve a charred and smoky flavor
- Add in Orange - You can also use orange slices instead of lemon for a different flavor and taste
Storage Suggestions
This Honey Glazed Salmon tastes great as soon as it is prepared. But you can store the leftovers in the refrigerator in a closed container for up to 2 days.
Serving Suggestions
Serve this delicious seafood with roasted asparagus, roasted green beans, roasted broccoli, along with rice dishes such as white rice, basmati rice, brown rice or other similar dishes of your choice.
